Principals Report
Yesterday, Erin Bolton began her maternity leave. We extend our sincere thanks for her dedication to and support of the students in Gr1/2B. We wish her good health and all the best during this special time.
We are pleased to announce that Nicola Finch will be stepping in to work alongside Lisa Banjac, ensuring the continued educational, spiritual, and wellbeing development of the students.
St John the Baptist Feast Day: We will be celebrating this important day in our calendar on Tuesday 24 June, please see flyer below for details of the day.
Our Yr 5/6 District Winter Sports Day is on Tuesday, July 1st, 2025, at Lang Lang Community Recreation Precinct. Students from local primary schools will enjoy AFL 9s, Soccer, Netball, and Tee Ball (tee Ball will be held at Koo Wee Rup Primary School). We believe that events like this are vital in developing not just physical skills, but also crucial social and emotional learning. It’s a wonderful chance for our students to connect with peers from other local schools, build new friendships, and learn the invaluable lessons of working collaboratively towards a common goal.
Student Academic Reports Letter: Attached to this newsletter is a letter outlining the changes to Mathematical Progressions within our Student Reports bringing us inline with the changes to the Victorian Curriculum. Reports will be sent home via PAM in the last week of Term 2.

Religious Education News
Saint John's Day on June 24th, the feast day of Saint John the Baptist, was established by the Christian Church in the 4th century A.D., in honor of the birth of the Saint John the Baptist.
Usually, a saint's feast day is celebrated on the day that the saint died. St. John along with the Virgin Mary are the only two saints whose birthdays are celebrated.
In the Gospel of Luke, certain verses imply that John the Baptist was born six months earlier than Jesus. And since it has become a tradition that Jesus was born on December 25th (Christmas Day), being six months before was taken to be the feast day of St. John the Baptist.
We will be celebrating Mass as a whole school community on Tuesday 24th June at 9:15am. Then from 2:10 - 2:50 pm students will gather in House Groups for St John the Baptist themed activities. Parents are invited to both events.
Throughout the term, our school is supporting the St. Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal by collecting non-perishable food, toiletries, and winter woollies (new or gently used) to help those in need. This initiative reflects the Catholic Social Teaching of the ‘Dignity of the Human Person’ by showing care for the wellbeing of others. Each classroom has a donation basket, and our Social Justice Leaders have spoken to students about the importance of this appeal. We are collecting donations until the end of term. Thank you for your generosity and support.
